Project KengiKat is my blog that I created to shed a different light and bring a new understading to what is means to be homeless in the United States.
I was homeless for 29 months in Los Angeles County and on April 3, 2008 I was diagnosed HIV positive and this too became part of my blog and my mission to shed a differnt light as well as bring a new conversation and understanding to HIV and AIDS.
My blog shares my story and the stories of others who are homeless, low income as well as my story in living with HIV and those of others also living with HIV or AIDS.
I also use my blog to share my organization and community work that I created while I was homeless in honor of my awesome grandparents. The Leon and Mary Fields Organization and the Do Something Saturday~that empowers people outreach is now well into it’s 2nd year of community service. I started my Unpluggin HIV~empowering a positive live outreach on April 3, 2009 one year after being told I am HIV positive.
Also in this blog you will find my love for Jazz music, my YOUTUBE channel or Project KengiKat II, my photos on Flickr, . I also have links to my social network as well as links to some pretty awesome website and blogs from people and organizations that I admire, love and have a huge amount of respect for.
Thanks for reading and supporting,
